THE OBJECT
An ornate 19th-century silver-plated cauldron, beautifully detailed with floral engraving, a beaded rim, scrolling double handles, and decorative feet.
Its surface has developed a deep, uneven patina over time, settling into the engraved details and giving the silver an especially atmospheric character. Elegant in form and wonderfully aged, it makes a beautiful ritual vessel for offerings, botanicals, or other objects of intention.
A small cauldron with considerably more presence than its scale might suggest.
DETAILS
19th century.
Silver plated with engraved floral decoration.
Approx. 5" tall × 6½" wide including handles.
Opening measures approx. 2½" wide.
CONDITION
In good as-found antique condition with heavy patina throughout, along with scattered marks, scuffs, small dents, and what appears to be ink residue within the interior.
The patina has been left untouched and contributes beautifully to the age and character of the piece. Please examine the photographs closely, as they form part of the condition description.
