An extraordinary vintage metal pedestal stand, richly ornamented with classical figures, scrolling details, and imagery evocative of the sea.
Across its darkened surface, merfolk and mythological figures emerge among elaborate openwork decoration, giving the piece the feeling of a small object drawn from an old collection of classical curiosities. Raised upon an ornate pedestal base, the wide upper surface creates a dramatic stage for whatever is placed upon it.
