A wonderfully unusual vintage carved wood tray formed as an octopus, with curling tentacles creating a series of individual compartments for small treasures and offerings.
🐙 CREATURE OF THE DEEP
The sculptural octopus spreads across nearly ten inches, its sweeping tentacles curling inward to create the divided tray. Warm wood grain, deep carved contours, and wonderfully expressive eyes give the creature an enormous amount of character.
Viewed as sculpture alone, it is a peculiar little maritime curiosity. Put to use, each tentacle becomes its own tiny vessel.
