A wonderfully unusual vintage white pottery vase formed as an elegant hand grasping a flared, trumpet-like vessel.
Dating to the 1940s, this Hull pottery vase with its sculptural form gives an otherwise practical object an almost surreal quality—the hand appearing to present or offer whatever is placed within it. Filled with flowers, displayed empty, or incorporated into a collection of curiosities, it has an understated strangeness that feels entirely at home in The Cabinet.

CONDITION
In as-found vintage condition with general age-related wear. There is a very small flea bite/glaze imperfection and some light marking to the interior and exterior. Otherwise, the piece is free from noted chips or cracks.
