THE OBJECT
A striking pair of miniature vintage devotional busts depicting Jesus and the Virgin Mary, cast in metal with a richly aged gold finish.
Jesus is depicted wearing the crown of thorns, while Mary appears beside him in a complementary sacred portrait. Their small scale contrasts beautifully with the weight and solemnity of the imagery, while years of patina and oxidation have given the gold-toned surfaces a wonderfully timeworn character.
Together, they form an intimate pair of devotional objects—equally at home upon an altar, among a collection of sacred relics, or tucked into a cabinet of curiosities.

Pair of two vintage cast-metal devotional busts with gold-toned finish.
Each measures approx. 4½" tall × 2½" wide.
CONDITION
In as-found vintage condition with considerable patina and age-related wear throughout. There is oxidation and corrosion present, including within the hollow bases.
Their aged surfaces have been left untouched and contribute to the character of the pair. Please examine the photographs closely, as they form part of the condition description.
