THE ALTAR
A one-of-a-kind Water Witch altar composed in aged silver, ocean blue, crystal, shell, and pearl—a collection created around the sacred and ever-changing nature of water.
Upon a heavily patinated silver altar tray, tall candlesticks rise with blue glass flames of color while a ritual chalice and delicate blue-and-white pitcher wait to hold water or libations. Shell-shaped vessels, natural treasures from the sea, pearls, crystal, and blue stone gather around them, each introducing another small echo of the water realm.
At the center, a blue stained-glass prism rests upon an elevated stand, catching and transforming the light like water itself. Nearby, a silver bell offers sound—a way to mark the beginning of ritual, clear the space, or call attention to the altar before work begins.
Unlike an altar devoted to one particular deity or tradition, this collection was composed around water itself: its movement, intuition, cleansing, depth, reflection, and mystery.
Each object was selected individually, then gathered here into a single altar awaiting its next keeper.
RITUAL & DEVOTION
Curated for water witchcraft, sea magic, moon water, cleansing, intuition, emotional work, offerings, and divination, this altar may be adapted to whichever body of water—or expression of the element—calls most strongly to its keeper.
The pitcher and chalice may hold moon water, ritual water, or libations. Shell vessels can receive herbs, stones, written intentions, pearls, or offerings, while the elevated offering stand creates a natural focal point for something especially sacred.
The bell may be used to open or close ritual, shift the energy of the space, or accompany meditation and devotional work. Candlelight reflected through the blue glass and crystal introduces the interplay of water and light, while the natural shells and ocean elements keep the altar connected to the physical sea.
It may become a Sea Witch, Ocean Witch, River Witch, or Lake Witch altar, depending upon the practice of its keeper, and it would also lend itself beautifully to devotional work with Aphrodite or another water-associated deity or spirit.
No single arrangement is prescribed. Water never keeps one shape, and neither must this altar.
